Frog Hollow practice days is a big part of our training program that helps our Vets learn about professional fishing and guiding techniques, with hands on experience. Practice days are about teaching and learning by example. There will be at least one or more qualified professional guide/coach on hand to offer helpful hints and tips if wanted.

Practice Days is for anyone from beginner to advance, Veteran or not, this is a great deal for a great cause. Whether you are brushing up on your current skills or just looking to enjoy a great day outdoors on one of the most beautiful and challenging trophy trout streams in the world. We invite you to come join us for a great day of fun with great people who share the same passion for fly-fishing as we do.

Practices days are always on Mondays until June 1st and scheduled periodically on the calendar as needed or just a great excuse to get out on a beautiful day.

Online Sign-up

Online sign up is on a first come, first served basis. If you sign up and have to cancel please notify us as soon as possible as we will have to remove your name from the list. Wounded Vets please contact us directly by phone or email and let us know you are coming. Practice Days are limited to 12 paying anglers.

Practice Day FAQ’s:
1) Can I bring my dog with me?
No... On a leash? No...

2) How often do you schedule practice days?
Always on Monday’s and periodically throughout the month, weekdays and weekends. Check calendar for last minute updates.

3) Is Lunch provided?
No. But! Sometimes we pitch in $5.00 and send Jim to go get Pizza

4) Do I need my own gear and flies?

5) Do you rent gear? Yes... Rental helps us stay in dry waders and working rods

Rod & Reel $10

6) Do you sell flies. Yes $2.50 ea. We now have a small fly shop inside the Barn and carry a small collection of flies and other stuff.
