What weight fly rod should I bring?
Due to the size of some of the fish? We recommend anything around a 5wt. to 6wt. fly rod

What fly patterns do you suggest?
This depends upon the season and water temps. Of course, a great deal of insect emergence always takes place in the Spring & early Summer months. Be prepared with appropriate flies for any conditions

Is there a fly shop nearby?
Yes, Unicoi Outfitters operates a full-service fly shop in Helen, about 15 miles away.
Tritt’s Sporting Goods also carries a variety of fly fishing gear near Dahlonega only 9 miles away
